R.I.P. Mark Wilkinson OBE 1950-2017

One of our national treasures of Great British design sadly passed away last week.

Craftsman, Maverick, Dyslexic he was all this and more.

I first met Mark back in the early 1990's and was instantly drawn to his passion and generosity. No matter how many times I invaded his house littering it with lights, cables and cameras, he always had time to chat and made me feel welcome.

When Mark decided to build his dream property I was lucky enough to be asked to document this, and to coin his very own catchphrase, from foundation to roof tile it was "Unmistakably Mark Wilkinson".

Who else's office would have a two ton factory boiler end for a door and solid chain mail settee throws.
