Well, yes I sure did, but I guess the nice vintage Zeiss lens didn't do any harm. Oh and the wireless follow focus came in handy, and a camera move is always smoother on a laser guided P&S Technik Skater dolly. Come to think of it the 24ft Infinity cove made a good background too, and quite what I'd have done without an electrically controlled 20ft x 15ft floating ceiling for those nice reflections.........

Let's not forget it can be pretty dark in the studio, so a few bits of lighting are always good as well.

Then there is the whole post production circus and yet another eye watering amount of kit and expense.

We shoot on everything from a few hundred pounds worth of GoPro to a fully pimped Arri Alexa rig that could probably pay off your mortgage, but the camera is just the tip of an equipment iceberg. So try not to be blinded by pure camera envy and never underestimate the power and value of all the other bits of kit that make the magic happen.

Perhaps one day I'll have the oportunity to put an iPhone on 500K worth of motion control rig.....hey Matt, how comes your phone footage looks so good!!!!!

Next time, the most important add ons of all, Experience & Talent, now that's worth talking about.

Have a good one.

Matt
